DOUGLAS, David S.

Waynetown, May 10 - David S. Douglas, 64, lifelong resident of the county, died at his home here at noon Monday. He had been ill one week with heart ailment. Born May 27, 1878, near Crawfordsville, he was the son of James S. and Sarah McMullen Douglas. He was first married on March 15, 1899, to Elizabeth S. White, who died many years ago. He was married a second time to Maude martin, at Ladoga, on October 17, 1906. He was a member of the Waynetown Methodist church and had been a farmer and carpenter most of his life. The survivors include the wife; one son, Herschel, of Crawfordsville; two daughters, Mrs. Odessa Brewer, of Wingate, and Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Reames, of Lake Cicotte, Ind.; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a brother, Walter Douglas, of Crawfordsville; three sisters, Mrs. Clara Brann, of New Market, Mrs. Nellie Rice of Mew Market, and Mrs. Pearl Cosby, of New Ross. Funeral services will be held at the Waynetown Methodist church Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. Guy E. Termaine in charge. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery at Crawfordsville. Friends may pay their respects at the home.
